This had enough slots and would fit a usb charger in the middle. I looked like the slots would be wide enough (and there was an answered question saying 1 1/8" slots) and it turned out they were just big enough. I liked the fact it had seven slots, enough for six devices plus the charger in the middle.
In spite of the name, it is not inclined, which I did not want.
The plastic is rather thin (which keeps it smaller than some wood ones I looked at) and not that strong, .But so far it's worked fine, even with three kids three to six years old putting the devices in and out and attaching the usb cables. Their parents were happy to have a way to organize all the devices (they are now up to five Fires). I also bought fun usb cables to match their kindle cases, so they think it's great fun.
For the charger I bought this one from Amazon: iClever BoostCube 50W 6-Port USB Desktop Rapid Charger (2.4A Max Per Port), Intelligent USB Travel Charger with SmartID Technology for Smartphone, Tablet, Power Bank & Other USB Powered Devices, Black
Lots of these chargers would fit; I liked this one because with the rounded top, it was made to sit upright.
I liked the final charging station so much I bought myself the same setup (third photo).

As I was contemplating what to do with the leftover taller sorter I realized it would do a great job holding the various lids and even pie plates that otherwise take up room in the range's bottom drawer. Since I don't use them often now the bottom rear of a lower kitchen cabinet is the perfect place for them, esp since I installed a roll-out stainless steel drawer there which makes them easy to reach should I need to use them again. For the price they're ideal and I can easily recommend them.
2022-01-19 Update: Tired of shifting small plastic lids around that occasionally would fall on my head, I think my mind was trying to remind me of my desk-step-sorter approach. Once again it came through and I now no longer need to juggle stacked glass storage containers & plastic lids.

We looked at Walmart, Staples, and a few other local stores but couldn't find anything that even came close to this for the price -- the closest desk sorter we could find at one of those places was double the price for literally the same quality product, just in a flashier color. So as long as you don't mind having a plain old black desk sorter instead of a trendy coral or turquoise or plum, this is definitely the way to go.
In my high school classroom, these survived precisely 0 falls.
First time one fell 3 feet after being jarred by a student, the back end snapped off. They are simply not durable.
However, if you're looking for a nice way to organize your letters or you work in a padded cell environment, these might be for you.
